These are the real statistical records of major league baseball, without steroid-inflated numbers. All major league records in major statistical categories have been corrected, wherever the top 20 list of career or single-season leaders was been affected by steroid use. For the years 1986 to 2008, the lists of season statistical leaders and major award winners have been revised when affected by steroid use. Changes are highlighted in blue. The "Batters" and "Pitchers" tabs show the steroid and HGH users and their likely seasons of performance-enhancing, along with their adjusted career statistics.
All statistics are current through the end of the 2016 season, with the retirement of the last of the steroid era. No further updates will be made here, but readers may make updated "steroid-free" record lists using this data, as long as attribution is given.
